Water Activities

The Emerald Coast is a water sportsman's Paradise. Fort Walton Beach-Okaloosa Island- Destin offers saltwater and freshwater fishing, pontoon boating, parasailing, waterskiing, windsurfing, snorkeling, and diving, among others. Rental shops can be found all over the coast to get you prepared for your favorite water sport.

Shopping

  • Destin Commons is an open-air town center with many upscale and unique shops, restaurants, a children's play area, and a movie theater.
  • Destin's Harbor Walk features upscale shopping, gift shops, restaurants, and a fine art gallery.
  • More shops include 98 Palms Ltd, Shoreline Village Mall, and others.

Golfing

  • Fred Couples and Gene Bates created the courses at the Kelly Plantation Golf Club, one of the newest courses on the Emerald Coast.
  • With three courses, the Indian Bayou Golf and Country Club contains a "challenging, yet playable assortment of nines," according to a Fort Walton Beach- Destin website.
  • The Regatta Bay Golf Club is the only Audubon-registered course on the Emerald Coast. It features play with think woods, complicated marshes, and rolling and flat grounds.
  • Robert Cupp, formerly jack Nicklaus's chief designer, designed the course at Emerald Bay Golf Club.

Recreation

  • Spanning over 25 acres, Big Kahuna's Water Park offers more than 40 water attractions, an adventure park, three miniature golf courses, and two go-kart tracks.
  • The Track is a recreation center that features go karts, bumper boats, bumper cars, an arcade, miniature golf, bungee jumping, and Kids' Country for younger children.

Parks located in Destin include Taylor Park and Joe's Bayou.
